November 2021 - Christ Medical Center - The team has me walking with the assistance of a Sara Plus Power Standing Patient Lift. This video combines six short clips from some of the hardest physical therapy sessions of my life—sessions where simply staying conscious, upright, and taking one more step felt like a battle. What looked like "walking" here was really me fighting through exhaustion, heat, ECMO lines, and impossible odds with the help of an incredible team who quite literally held me up.
December 2021 - This was one of the parts of recovery I hated most—a transfer from the Kreg bed to the chair that took far more out of me than it probably looks. What seems simple here was exhausting, painful, and humbling, and it took an incredible team at Advocate Christ Medical Center to help me through moments like this on the long road back to life.
